Board Member Bios
Dawne Clark
Dawne Clark has been on the BACC Board since the founding of the center. She is a member of Calvary Fellowship church and served in their pre-school department for over 20 years, both as a teacher and two separate terms as Coordinator. From 2002 through to the present she has been the preschool teacher at Homework Club on Tuesday evenings at the BACC and served as a tutor on Wednesday evenings. Since November of 2007 she has served as interim director for all activities at the BACC, coordinating Homework Club, Bible Studies, Crafts, Ceramics, Sewing class, and oversight of volunteers. Her Board responsibilities include program direction and oversight, security clearances for all volunteers, and supervision of use of facilities. She also serves as Treasurer for the Board.
Glenn W. Clark, CPCU
Glenn Clark has been on the BACC Board since its inception. He and his wife, Dawne attend Calvary fellowship Church in Lionville. He currently serves as an elder at CFC and is active in many ministries as well as recreational sports. He is the owner of Rockwood Programs, Inc., a specialty insurance agency based in Wilmington, DE. His responsibilities on the Board include funds raising, strategic direction, interface with outside ministries, and liaison for facilities.
Jordan Crans
Jordan Crans has been volunteering and working in Coatesville for five years. She and Josh have a heart for the families that live in town, and love developing their relationships with everyone there. For the past two years she has been teaching Gifted and Math Proficiency at Scott Middle School, which is located in the center of Coatesville. She volunteers at the Camp at Old Mill and at the BACC with the children’s programs, camps, and Young Life Coatesville.
Josh Crans
Josh Crans, Graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University with Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2003. After graduating, he worked at Community Youth and Women’s Alliance in Coatesville, PA, as a Teen Prevention Specialist. In 2006 went on full-time staff with County Corrections Gospel Mission working as a prison chaplain, youth counselor, and program staff of the Camp at Old Mill. He also is employed part time at the Chester County Youth Center as a Detention Officer. He has served on a plethora of initiatives; Chester County Communities Coalition, Chester County Planning Commission Steering Committee, Coatesville Youth Initiative, all to better serve the Community of Coatesville. He is a weekly volunteer at the Bridge Academy and Community Center and his family has a history of over 30 years ministry in the City of Coatesville.
Lori Gillespie
Lori joined the BACC board in 2004. She is a Registered Nurse and brings her health, nutrition and safety experience to the BACC Board. Lori is a member of Calvary Fellowship Church and is active in the “Moms in Touch” school prayer ministry, the Downingtown East High School Wellness Committee and serves as the Medical Safety Adviser for Boy Scout Troup 220. In addition, Lori is on the board of the Chester County Youth Orchestra, and serves on the BACC Board as Recording Secretary.
Steve Gillespie
Steve is a founding member of the BACC Board. Steve brings a unique business and arts perspective to the BACC Board and holds degrees in both Business and Music Performance. Still active in music, Steve recognizes the positive therapeutic, creative, self discipline and personal value that the arts can uniquely bring out in children. In addition to the BACC board, Steve’s community involvement includes Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 220, member of the Calvary Fellowship Church worship team and member of the Board of the Chester County Youth Orchestra. Steve is a Regional Executive with EDS. Steve and his wife Lori live in Downingtown, Pennsylvania and have two children. Steve’s responsibilities on the BACC Board include administration, event planning, arts programming and web site management.
John Keeny
John and Linda Keeny were members of the original Board of Directors of the Bridge Academy and Community Center. John is currently Director, Business Operations, Calvary Fellowship Church, after a long career in the building materials industry. He has served as an Elder and Deacon at Calvary Fellowship Church, as well as, served on other non-profit Boards, such as, The Chester County Economic Development Council and the Nation Foundation.
Linda Keeny
After raising a family, Linda continued her education, earning a M.S. from West Chester University in 1993.She served as Program Manager of the Single Point of Contact Program, a program that assisted women in returning to the workplace from welfare. Linda retired in 2003 and is now active in church activities, small groups and Women’s Bible Study. She currently facilitates a Parenting Workshop and serves on the Board of the Nation Foundation.
Deanna Nicolini
Deanna Nicolini joined the Bridge Academy Board in 2006. She is actively involved in ceramics and sewing classes as well as the homework club. Deanna and her husband Rob have four children and are members of Calvary Fellowship Church. She has been involved in Children’s ministry and Women’s Bible study since 1999. She also volunteers at The Peacemaker Center and City Gate and was a client advocate and taught parenting classes at Chester County Women’s Services in Coatesville. She was also involved in organizing their yearly banquet and fundraising events.
Robert Nicolini
Robert W. Nicolini, CPA (bio 5/11/08) Rob joined the board of directors of the Bridge Academy Community Center during 2006. He is the tax partner with the accounting firm Clarke, Nicolini and Associates, Ltd. located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Rob was the treasurer of the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce for fifteen years as well as serving two terms as Chairman of the Board. He was a member of the board of directors of Chester County Women’s Services and is currently a member of the finance committee at Calvary Fellowship Church. He and his wife Deanna reside in Upper Uwchlan Township, Pa. with their four children and attend Calvary Fellowship Church.
Jack and Nancy Russell
Jack and Nancy Russell have served on the Bridge Academy Board since 2002. They are both active in Calvary Fellowship Church in various capacities as a team and individually. As a team they counsel married couples and work in the ministry of maintaining Biblical marriages. Nancy serves in the Women’s, and Prayer and Care ministries. Jack is a leader in men’s ministries and serves as an elder at CFC. Jack is an experienced contractor who manages the “Woodchips” program at the BACC and oversees all facility maintenance and construction issues for the Board. Nancy is instrumental in all prayer issues as well as a coordinator for our annual Silent Auction.
