Thank you to all who made our 2008 Bridge Academy and Community Center Book Bag Drive a success!
On Saturday August 31st we were able to give away 500 bookbags and had a wonderful day of fun! A little before 8:00 am, the line started growing and growing, stretching around the block. We opened the doors at 10 am sharp after prayer. The day was filled with joyful and thankful families, amazing volunteers, food, pony rides, face painting, and a moon bounce. Everywhere we looked there were smiles on faces! The kids were especially enamored with the ponies, and loved the moon bounce! The Lord held off the rain and thunderstorms that had been called for all week, and the weather was great. It was a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful event.
