2008 BACC Program Calendar
THE BACC BOARD ANNOUNCES:
Fall at the Bridge Academy and Community Center
Our fall programs will be held at the Bridge Academy and Community Center on the corner of Virginia Ave. and Olive Street! We hope that you will join us for them! Here is a sample of what programs we will be offering this semester.
2008 Fall Semester Begins Tuesday, September 16th
Homework Club
Homework can be fun! Our Homework Club includes a Bible lesson, homework time, a craft, snack, and games.
- Tuesday night- 6:00- 8:00. Pre-K to 2nd Grade
- Wednesday night- 6:00- 8:00. 3rd to 5th grade
- Thursday night- 6:00- 8:00. Middle School (more of a laid back atmosphere)
We need tutors that are willing to spend quality time with our kids. Please pray about helping out, and email the BACC and let us know where you would like to be plugged in.
Young Life
Thursday night. 6:30 - 8:30 PM with the high school kids. Young Life is held upstairs in the sanctuary. We also always provide snacks and drinks. Volunteer helpers needed, please email the BACC or call and leave us a message at: 610-466-9505.
Wood Chips Class
Monday afternoons. A fun class that creates various projects with wood. The more helpers we have, the easier it is to complete the projects! Volunteer helpers please email the BACC or call and leave us a message at: 610-466-9505.
Women’s Job Coaching and Computer Classes
Tuesday. Noon -1:30 PM. The relationships built with the women in this class are strong and meaningful!
Women’s Bible Study and Lunch
Wednesday Noon to 2 PM. We also welcome anyone that would be interested in joining our group. We need meals for each Wednesday. If you are able to provide a meal, please email the BACC or call and leave us a message at: 610-466-9505.
Book Bag Drive
August 30th, 10 AM
Our annual book bag drive will include a festive day along with free book bags filled with supplies for the upcoming school year. Summer at the Bridge Academy and Community Center
We have many programs that will be held this summer at the Bridge Academy and Community Center on the corner of Virginia Ave. and Olive Street! We hope that you will join us for them!
Teen Bible Studies
Wednesdays from 12-2 pm
We will eat and spend time together and go through a Bible study.
Women’s Bible Studies
Thursday from 12 – 2 pm
Join us for food, fellowship, and a Bible study every week. We may be able to provide child care as well.
Women’s Computer Classes
Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons
Open to graduating seniors or women that would like to get to know more about using computers in the work field. Run by a business woman that would like to pass on her knowledge!
Drop In Center
Tuesdays and Fridays from 2- 4:30 pm
Our doors are open and we would love for you to come spend time with us in or outside the building. We will have activities, games, and great people!
Elementary Mentoring/ Discipleship Program
Tuesday evenings from 5-6:30
This will be a great opportunity for elementary students to connect with adults. They will be in small groups that will meet together each week. These groups will spend quality time together, complete fun activities, and spend time growing in their relationships with each other and God!
Nature Camp
July 14th-18th
This week will be split between Mr. Jack’s camp and the BACC. It will be open to the first 8 2nd or 3rd graders that sign up. This will be a week to remember as we study the creek, woods, stars, and have great activities!
BACC Day Camp
July 21st-25th
Our week will be filled with many different stations. Each day will include arts and crafts, food, games, computer programs, Bible lessons, and educational activities as well.
Crazy Arts with Shanty
There will be 2 fun filled days with many artistic projects. This will include shirt making, painting, drawing, and many other arts and crafts!
