The Bridge Academy and Community Center Receives $25,000 Second-Round Grant from the Foxwynd Foundation to Strengthen Foundations & Futures Program

Coatesville, PA — The Bridge Academy and Community Center is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, distributed through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). This grant continues a trusted partnership that strengthens families throughout the Coatesville community through the Foundations & Futures program.

This renewed investment will help enhance Foundations & Futures, a holistic initiative that serves more than 200 families annually by providing stabilizing support during times of crisis and helping households move toward long-term stability. Grant funding will be deployed across three key areas: Stabilizing Family Support, Meeting Basic Needs, and Staffing to expand capacity and deepen impact.

Stabilizing Family Support includes individualized assistance led by The Bridge’s Family Resources Coordinator and support staff, connecting families to one-on-one counseling or coaching, providing assistance to prevent eviction, and offering crisis intervention when urgent needs arise. Families are supported through connections to trusted community resources, financial literacy programming, and budgeting support designed to reduce future hardship.

Meeting Basic Needs funding supports consistent distributions of food and household essentials. Families receive fresh and frozen food items, pantry staples, diapers, wipes, and other household necessities.

Staffing support is critical to the success of Foundations & Futures, as the program is built on trusted relationships and trauma-informed care. A portion of the grant allows The Bridge to increase staff capacity to ensure families receive timely, compassionate support and connections to housing, mental health, and financial resources.

“At Foxwynd Foundation, we believe stability begins long before a crisis becomes irreversible. Programs like Foundations & Futures matter because they don’t just respond to emergencies—they help families regain control, dignity, and confidence in their path forward.” — Pamela Villagra, Executive Director, Foxwynd Foundation

“Our Foundations & Futures program is about walking alongside families as they navigate real-life challenges,” said Jordan Crans, Executive Director of The Bridge Academy and Community Center. “This second round of funding from the Foxwynd Foundation affirms the importance of this work and allows us to continue responding with care, consistency, and dignity as families work toward stability and resilience.”
